Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival is the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. As the name suggests, this day is the middle of autumn. The moon on August 15 is rounder and brighter than the full moon in other months, so this day is also called "Moon Eve", "August Festival". On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, people look up to the bright moon in the sky which is like a jade plate, and people naturally look forward to stay with family. The wanderers away from home also will miss their hometown and relatives. Therefore, the Mid-Autumn Festival is also called "Reunion Festival".

On the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2019, the company organized Chinese and foreign employees to celebrate together. Chinese employees introduced the customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival to foreign employees, and then all employees made moon cakes together. Everyone enjoyed themselves and felt the charm of traditional Chinese culture together.

2020 is a special year. It cannot be gathered to celebrate in the Mid-Autumn Festival, but our company still prepared moon cakes for each employee, which made everyone feel the strong festive atmosphere.

All alone in a foreign land, miss home much than usual during festival. Although it is far away from China in South America, the Chinese employees feel warmer every Mid-Autumn Festival, and everyone’s heart fluctuates with gratitude. This is a day that makes our lives more excellent, a day that makes our emotions more real, and a day that makes us more reunited.
